Central Animal Facility
On campus, located between the OVC and Animal Science, the CAF is designed for the housing and maintenance of a variety of animals in a controlled environment. The facility is ideal for research involving rodents and other small mammals, companion animals, and other non-production animals. |
Isolation Housing
Both the Animal Science Building and the Ontario Veterinary College have on-site isolation facilities for running small-scale, controlled experiments. In the past, fish, swine and poultry research have taken advantage of these facilities. Barn 37, located adjacent to the Animal Science and Nutrition building houses cattle, swine and other animals; this facility can be used for demonstration and teaching purposes, as well as research. |
