The laboratory of Dr. Ian Duncan

My group is interested in understanding the impact of intensive production practices on the behaviour and welfare of farm animals, particularly chickens, as well as investigating sentience in fish.  We are developing methods of "asking" animals what they feel about the conditions under which they are kept
and the procedures to which they are subjected.
