The College of Biological Science, at the University of Guelph, offers Master’s and Doctoral degrees through its three departments and involves over 100 research groups. The College is noted for its flexibility of graduate programs and has an enrolment of over 320 students. Graduate programs are research-oriented, and students, whether Master’s or Doctoral candidates, engage in fundamental research in the basic life sciences, most often as part of three core graduate programs in the areas of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Integrative Biology or Human Health and Nutritional Sciences. The College also promotes interdisciplinary and applied research through collaborations across departments and research units, most often focused in the areas of Aquaculture, Biophysics or Toxicology. The University has exceptional core facilities on the Guelph campus, and many of our students work in the field or through partnerships and collaborators in global venues.
