Alilance-funded research on low-methane dairy cow selection is profiled in this story from U of G's Ontario Agricultural College (OAC). It's part of a four-year, $16-million project is being funded by Genome Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, provincial genome centres and industry partners. Research for the original burp-breeding tool was funded by various organizations, including the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, a collaboration between the Government of Ontario and U of G. The Ontario Dairy Research Centre is owned by the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario.
