What Did Lincoln Say to You?
The UGAA would like to thank everyone who submitted stories about the words Chancellor Lincoln Alexander spoke to them during Convocation. In the 15-year period he served as Chancellor, the Hon. Lincoln Alexander conferred approximately 25,000 degrees. He is most remembered for performing these duties with a warm smile, a handshake and with words of congratulations, encouragement and a challenge for virtually every student who transitioned into the alumni family.
Stories of Lincoln Alexander’s encouraging words were gathered into a book and presented to him as a keepsake, entitled “What did Lincoln Alexander say to you?” Thanks to all the alumni who participated in this project.
