Help Guelph greet its latest Gryphon
The University of Guelph is an integral part of our community, drawing close to 20,000 students, and thousands of visitors, to campus each year. It’s an important part of the community’s history, development and future. Yet, it lacks a formal entrance, that road marker that tells every driver, pedestrian and visitor, here we are! Well, it’s all about to change.
The UGAA is proud to announce our leadership and support of the University of Guelph’s main campus entrance plan. Beginning next month we will be fundraising to raise money to support a Gryphon statue at the corner of Stone Road and Gordon Street. The UGAA is committed to this campaign and will match alumni donations up to $150,000. We hope you will also support this project. Stay tuned for more details in next month’s Enews.
This is our chance to help build an iconic campus fixture that every student, alumni and resident will recognize and remember as part of U of G.
