Kyle Walters, Guelph's assistant football coach for the past two years and a graduate of U of G, is the University's new head football coach. A 1997 B.Sc. graduate, he was a member of the Gryphon football team from 1992 to 1996. In his rookie season, the Gryphons captured the Yates Cup, and in 1996, he captained the Yates Cup Championship team. He went on to play with the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the 1997 and 1998 Grey Cup.
