Readership Survey
Members of the University community are invited to share their perceptions of and experiences related to the effectiveness of the University's human rights policy at a town hall session April 10 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 103 of the University Centre.
Hosted by the Human Rights and Equity Office (HREO), the session will be led by Geri Sanson, a partner at Sanson & Hart, Barristers and Solicitors, who has been retained to conduct a policy review of U of G's human rights policy and procedures, which were approved by Board of Governors in 2002.
As part of the approval process, the University agreed to improve the operation of the policy and procedures through a review once every three years.
Sanson is conducting the review this month, primarily through a series of consultations with U of G employees and students.
Following the consultations and analysis, she will prepare a report for the HREO director that will include recommendations for any possible changes to the policy and/or procedures.
