What is diet analysis and how does it work?
Diet analysis is the process of analyzing a person’s calorie and nutrient intake and is based on a 24 hour recall or a 3- or 7-day detailed food record.
Analysis includes energy (calories), fat (total, saturated, trans, cholesterol, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated), protein, carbohydrate, dietary fibre, vitamins, minerals (macro and micro), alcohol, caffeine and water.
The lab uses Food Processor SQL software to provide detailed and up-to-date nutrient analysis of subjects’ diets. The database contains over 29,000 foods.
Who makes the Food Processor SQL software?
Food Processor SQL is manufactured by ESHA Research (www.esha.com) in Oregon. |
