Animal Use Protocol
Project Description
Animal Care Services is under increased scrutiny for effective management and reporting animal use for research or instruction at the University of Guelph. There are growing compliances, assurances and reporting pressure on the University of Guelph members coming from the funding agencies and both provincial and federal laws. At present Animal Care Services requests PIs to download forms, complete and submit paper based which naturally lends itself to much overhead, management, approval and monitoring inefficiencies.
The project will include technologies on a secured platform that will enable efficiencies, enhanced competencies and improve work processes to meet the increasing compliancy and reporting requirements of the funding and regulatory agencies.
