Telephone System Maintenance
Fri, 02/10/2012 - 14:55 — Lelio Fulgenzi
CCS has scheduled the following maintenance to occur just before and during the reading week break.
- Sat Feb 18 (6PM-11PM): During this time, the telephone servers will have updates applied and the telephone servers will be restarted. There may be intermittent service impacts as the telephone servers are restarted. The updates have been tested in our lab and the risks of failure are low, however, if a failure does happen, the telephone servers will need to be restored from backup. This process may take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours to complete.
- Tue Feb 21 (6AM-8AM): During this time, network security configurations on the Guelph campus phone networks will be updated. The new configurations have been tested and no impact is expected as the new configurations are applied. If there are unforeseen issues after the new configurations have been applied, the goal is to troubleshoot and update the configurations as required, however, the changes will be reversed if the impact is high.
- Thu Feb 23 (6AM-8AM): During this time, network security configurations on the Kemptville and Ridgetown campus phone networks will be updated. The new configurations have been tested and no impact is expected as the new configurations are applied. If there are unforeseen issues after the new configurations have been applied, the goal is to troubleshoot and update the configurations as required, however, the changes will be reversed if the impact is high.
