First Visit for Undergraduates

Welcome to Computing and Communications Services (CCS), your link to computing information and support. CCS offers a wide range of IT and communications services to the University of Guelph community.

You should have already received your central login account from the Registrar's Office. This account will give you access to services such as Gryph Mail, website publishing, WebAdvisor, and Courselink.

AT NO TIME will the University ask you to reveal your user ID and password by email.

To help you with your computing needs, CCS offers various services for students:

Single Sign-On: get access to multiple U of G services without retyping your credentials each time you access a new service

Password insurance: reset your password right away for increased protection

ResNet: internet support for students living in residence

Eduroam: wireless network service that allows students, staff, and faculty from Canadian educational institutions to securely access the Internet while visiting other member universities

Software download (such as McAfee VirusScan, SPSS, SAS, Microsoft XP and Office)

For additional computing support, you can access a variety of resources such as the IT Help Desk in the Library and the CCS Help Centre
