Archive
The Archive Add-on allows you to automatically move your messages to an archive folder and separating them by year, month or sender depending on your preference.
Archiving messages
- Select the message(s)/conversation(s) you want to archive.
- Click on the archive button.

- If you click on the downwards arrow you can select whether to archive in folders by year, month or sender.

- The option selected will be saved and is the default when clicking on the button.
- If there is no "Archive" folder, a new one will be created.*
- The message(s) will be moved to the corresponding subfolders under Archive.

Batch Archiving
In order to archive a number of messages without having to select them manually you can make use of the "Archive old messages..." option:
- Click on the downwards arrow next to the Archive button to open the dropdown.

- Select Archive old messages...
- Enter the criteria for the batch archiving process.***

- Click on Archive
- If you selected the option "Export messages" then a download dialog will pop-up. Select the location for you tgz file and click Save.
- If you selected the option "Move messages to Trash after exporting", please wait until the tgz has finished downloading and then click on Continue.
Auto-archiving
When setting auto-archiving, the add-on will run a batch archiving process the first time you login everyday.
- Click on the downwards arrow next to the Archive button to open the dropdown.

- Select Auto Archiving...
- Select whether to enable the auto archiving feature.

- Enter the criteria for the auto archive.
- Click on Save.
Notes:
* If there is already an Archive folder, the folder created will have a numeric suffix, e.g. Archive 2
** This add-on does not increase the amount of space available, it simply orders and moves the messages to a folder out of the inbox.
*** Messages are moved to the Trash instead of being deleted as a way for the user to recover any message by mistake; if you are satisfied with the results you can proceed to empty the Trash folder in order to free space.
