Gryph Backup & Restores
PLEASE READ: backups are available up to 4 weeks from the date of your request. We are unable to restore any folders from an earlier date.
Please also note we cannot restore messages that:
- exist on your PC that were created in a thick email client like Thunderbird or Outlook
- have been discarded by mail filters or messages that have been moved by a POP client.
After having read these disclaimers, if you still wish to request a restore of your Gryph Mail account (email messages, folders, Calendars, Address Books, Documents and Tasks), please submit a online request.
Common Causes of Missing Email:
- Setting POP on a thick email client like Thunderbird or Outlook - we may not be able to restore the messages before if POP was configured more than last 28 days.
- Improper mail filter definition, causing messages to be discarded. Such messages cannot be restored. Always test Mail Filters by sending messages to a temporary folder. Once you are sure your Mail Filter is working as expected, you can discard the filtered messages.
- Improper settings on thick email clients or mobile devices.
- Filtering messages out so that only messages from people in your Address Book stay in your Inbox. If you have configured another email client to do this, and that client doesn't have an Address Book defined, you will see your messages disappear from your Gryph Mail Inbox.
- Storing messages in your Trash or Junk folders. Messages in your Trash and Junk folders are automatically deleted after 30 days. Do not use your Trash or Junk folders to save messages.
- Dragging and dropping to the wrong folder. You can usually find those messages by doing a Search.
