Gryph Mail Quota
What contributes to your Gryph Mail quota:
- Your Inbox
- Saved email messages
- Copies of Sent mail
- Trash or Junk folders
- Attachments
- Files attached to Calendar events
- Files stored in Briefcase
- Files stored in Documents
- External Accounts
If you exceed your Gryph Mail quota:
- You will be notified when you are at 90% of your quota, in order to allow you to take measures to avoid exceeding your quota
- Other people will not be able to send you email
- You won't be able to save mail from your Inbox to other mail folders
- You may also find that you can't keep copies of outgoing mail
What to do if receive a quota limit warning in Gryph Mail
- Delete email from Trash and Sent folders
- Review and delete all unwanted email from the Junk folder
- Delete old email with large attachments that are no longer needed (this option is not available in your Sent mail folder).
- Attachments stored in an email message will add up to an additional 75% of its size to the message size. This can affect your quota significantly. Save the attachments to Briefcase and delete the message with the attachment (and empty the Trash folder) to manage your quota more efficiently.
- A simple trick is to use the Advanced search option to search for documents greater than 1MB. This will often identify a surprising number of duplicate or unnecessary messages that can be cleaned up.
