WebVPN

Before you continue please read the following considerations:

The AnyConnect WebVPN client supports the following OSs:
- Windows XP/2000
- Windows Vista (both 32 and 64 bits)
- Mac OS X (Version 10.4 or later) on either Intel or PowerPC
- Red Hat Linux (Version 9 or later)
To use the WebVPN service you should be signed in with the local Administrator account, or an account which is a member of the computer's Administrator group. If you do not have Administrator privileges, you must have someone who has Administrator privileges install the AnyConnect WebVPN Client for you first.
Windows Vista users must add "vpn.uoguelph.ca" to the trusted zone for automatic installation to work. See WebVPN FAQ for detail steps.

Before you continue please read the following considerations:

To install the IPSec VPN Client software on Windows XP/2000 or Windows 2003 server, you should be signed in with the local Administrator account, or an account which is a member of the computer's Administrator group. If you do not have Administrator privileges, you must have someone who has Administrator privileges install the product for you first.
You will not be able to install the IPSec VPN Client software from a network drive. If you attempt to do this, you receive an error message.
Having more than one VPN client installed on your system is not advisable. Having both UoG IPSec and WebVPN clients is OK.
You will lose network connectivity during the uninstall and install process. Please close any network files before you continue.

If you are setting up a IPSec VPN connection on Windows for the first time, please follow the following steps:
