About ResNet

ResNet is the residence internet service provided by Computing and Communications Services (CCS). Single student residents and residents in Family Housing use ResNet to connect their personal computers to the internet and U of G's network.  ResNet also provides internet access to summer hostel residents and conference guests.

Preparing to use ResNet

Are you new to residence?  Read more about how to prepare for using the residence Internet (ResNet) before coming to campus.

Wireless in Residence

Currently, Johnston Hall is the only residence that offers wireless internet (WiFi) in residence rooms.  Other residences may offer wireless coverage in some common areas but it is not intended or supported for use in your residence room.

If you are not residing in Johnston Hall or prefer not to use wireless, you will need to purchase an ethernet cable to connect to ResNet.

ResNet Help

ResNet clients are encouraged to contact CCS Help at 519-824-4120 x58888 for assistance with their connections and for answers to questions about ResNet or similar computing support issues.
