Connection Settings
No matter what program or SFTP client you decide to use, the connection settings will be the same as outlined below:

NOTE: Not all SFTP clients will have the option for selecting the type for logging in.
We have provided an exmaple on how to connect and create the public_html folder in the home (Central ID) folder using FileZilla. The steps should be fairly similar no matter what the FTP client being used is.\
Please note: if you are connecting from off campus, you will need to first connect to the campus network by using our VPN service. If you do not connect to the campus network, you will not be able to make an SFTP connection to home.web.uoguelph.ca Please refer to our documenation on how to connect to the campus network through our WebVPN service.
