Current Site Licences

 

This is a list of site / volume licences maintained by CCS.    Please note that concurrently licensed products require access to a Licence Manager Server. CCS provices Licence Manager Server services for all concurrent-licensed products on Windows but not Linux or Mac.  Clients requesting concurrent copies for Linux or Mac may need to run their own Licence Manager server.   Please direct any questions via email to 58888help@uoguelph.ca

To acquire:  CCS Software Distribution System (products are located on the Institutional Use Only Software tab).  Please note that not all products available via the CLP licence are listed in the CCS Software Distribution System.  Some CLP products not stocked on the site can be acquired via special order from Adobe.  A University of Guelph Departmental Billing code is required to order these products.  Please allow up to 3 or more weeks for order processing and delivery from Adobe.   Please send email to 58888help@uoguelph.ca for more information.

Eligibility:    faculty, staff.

To acquire: This product is currently being distributed by special order.  Please contact the CCS Help Centre for more information.   The Help Centre will put you in contact with the MatLab support analyst who will work with you to determine which MatLab products you require, provide you with a quote on the cost, and, upon your approval to purchase, will initiate the process of acquiring these products for you from the publisher.    The product will be provided to you on DVD.

Special notes:

1.  This product is concurrent:  i.e. requires you to be connected to the internet so that it may communicate with the licence manager server on start-up. 

2.   This product can only be purchased by University of Guelph Departmental Billing Code.

Eligibility:    faculty and staff for institutional use on campus.

To acquire:  Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and some Windows Operating System upgrades  are available via the CCS Software Distribution System (products are located on the Institutional Use Only Software tab)

To acquire products not available on the CCS Software Distribution System please directly contact the University's Microsoft Academic Select provider, CCSI, via the procedure below:

(1) U of G Client contacts CCSI directly with request for quote on product.
(2) CCSI provides product information and pricing to U of G client .
(3) U of G client places order directly with CCSI for product through their standard ordering process.
(4) CCSI provides product order confirmation to U of G client (electronic receipt).
(5) U of G client contacts CCS by sending email to 58888help@uoguelph.ca and provides electronic receipt information.
(6) CCS procures download product or licence info for the U of G client from the Microsoft Volume Licensing Centre.
(7) CCS provides U of G client with any product keys via email and any binaries (ISO images, installer files, etc) through a CFS network share.

1.  The Microsoft Work-At-Home licence agree allows only one copy of this product per authorized member of the University of Guelph community.

Program:     Microsoft Developers Network - Academic Alliance

Products:     various Microsoft products for use in teaching labs and on student PCs.

Eligibility:    faculty and students. Products are for use in University of Guelph / Guelph-Humber courses only

To acquire:  Academic departments pay a yearly enrollment fee to participate in this program and supply CCS with a list of eligible students and faculty.    The eligible students and faculty identified by the department then acquire Microsoft software through a link provided by the participating department.   

 The current departments participating in this program are:

  • Computing and Information Science
  • School of Engineering

Members of these departments, or students taking courses from these departments, who would like further information are requested to contact their department as listed above.

Special notes:

1.  This product is licensed on an annual basis.  It expires August 31 and then runs in a grace period for a subsequent 60 days.   The purchase price in the CCS Software Distribution System is pro-rated to reflect the time remaining between the product purchase an its expiration.

2.  In the CCS Software Distribution System, this product is not available for download due to its size.  It is only available on DVD.
