Ze’ev completed his tour of the Southeast with a decidedly non-southeastern seminar for the Department of Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Previous stops on the tour included the University of Florida-Gainesville, the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and the University of West Virginia.

Graham Clark was awarded the Slaymaker Award for best student presentation by the Canadian Geomorphology Research Group at the Prairie Summit, 2010:  the first  joint meeting of the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG), the Canadian Cartographic Association (CCA), the Canadian Geomorphology Research Group (CGRG) and the Canadian Remote Sensing Society (CRSS).  Congratulations Graham!

This year's Canadian Association of Geographers AGM features a whole day of exciting tree-ring research, including presentations by almost everyone in the CEDaR lab.

Robert and Julia Cathro-Oliver gave birth to their first child. Simo Otso Cathro-Oliver checked in at 8:05 PM, weighing 3.63 kg, and measuring 52.5 cm from tip to toe.

The 18th Annual North American Dendroecological Fieldweek (NADEF) will be held at the Double Diamond Hostel at Apex Mountain in British Columbia, Canada. The fieldweek will run from June 13th through June 21st and registration fees will be US$600 for students and US$750 for professionals. The fieldweek will be held in conjunction with the First Ameridendro Conference which will be in Vancouver from June 23-27, 2008.
