ArtsInform

Last night the Library hosted an event to celebrate the ArtsInform initiative and exhibition. It was the vision of Pat Eaves Brown, a librarian at Guelph, that bridging the local artistic community and the Library would not only promote artists but support and promote the creative process with information resources.

ArtsInformArtsInform

The result is an impressive web resource focused on the information/creative needs of local artists (and a place to showcase their work).

The exhibition in the McLaughlin Library of work from those artists continues the direction of establishing the Library the Academic Town Square, a place alive and vibrant with creativity, scholarship, and conversation. A place of curiosity and community.

Congrats and thanks to Judy Wanner, Linda Graburn, Carol Perry and Edit Mahler for their help and support. Special recognition to Pat Eaves Brown for her vision, leadership and persistence.
