Transferring into CJPP

Effective 01 May 2002, (ie you were admitted under the terms of the 2002-2003 undergraduate calendar)

(1)students from other disciplines at the University of Guelph may only transfer into the CJPP Program if they have received an overall average of 70% in the following six courses:

(2) students may only declare a minor in CJPP if they have received an average of 70% in the same following six courses:

  • POLS*1400 - Public Management and Administration
  • SOC *1500 - Crime and Criminal Justice
  • SOAN2120 - Introductory Methods
  • POLS*2250 - Public Administration
  • POLS*2300 - Canadian Government
  • SOC* 2700 - Criminological Theory

Students from other universities or colleges who are seeking to gain admission into the CJPP program must receive an overall average of 70% on these same six courses. If students have been given credit for any one of these six courses by the Admissions Department, they must achieve an average of 70% on the remaining courses. If, after you have received your transferred courses from Admissions, and believe that you have covered the work equivalent to any of the above courses but have not been given credit, we recommend that you bring along a course outline, calendar description and any other pertinent information related to course content and make an appointment to see one of the program counsellors.
