The Toxicology Study Guide

 

Overview &
Objective

This seven lesson study unit provides information on basic principles utilized in the science of toxicology. Knowledge gained from this unit could assist by expanding the knowledge of the participant which may lead to improved decision-making abilities on issues relating to this very controversial topic. Each lesson in the Educator's Resource Guide contains background information, teacher information and a worksheet. The lessons in this study unit may be used as a complete instructional package or as an independent lesson of study. In addition to the lessons, there is a list of research topics, a glossary of terminology, and a crossword puzzle. This educational unit is available in printed form, Educator's Resource Guide, or in a condensed form as a slide presentation/video. The Educator's Resource Guide is now on-line to preview!

Audience

This unit was designed to support secondary school science programs and for distribution to other interested parties. Within science school programs, this unit may be used in conjunction with instruction on the following topics:

  • Effects of Science and Technology on Society and on the Environment
  • Science and Technology Influence and the Influence of Soceital Issues
