Project: The 2nd phase Impulse Buying Survey
Compensation: a $10 PC gift card
Our 1st phase impulse buying survey has been closed. Almost 300
consumers have participated in the survey, and we would like you
to participate in the 2nd phase survey!
At this point, we are inviting participants who participated in our 1st phase Impulse buying survey only. The purpose of this research is to compare consumers' responses to two different impulse buying occasions. You qualify for the current survey if you have participated in our 1st phase impulse buying survey and have recently bought something expensive on a sheer force of desire in the retail store and felt badly about it. You will be asked to vividly recall one of your most recent gambling loss experiences, and to fill out survey items related to that recalled experience. The online survey will take approximately 20 minutes. Please contact impulse@uoguelph.ca to obtain password for this survey.
Note: If you did not participate in our 1st phase survey, but still wish to participate in the current impulse buying survey, please contact us at impulse@uoguelph.ca.
Project: The 2nd phase Gambling Loss Survey
Compensation: Draw: 14 winners of $100, odds: 1:20
Our 1st phase gambling loss survey has been closed. 14 winners
have been selected, and we have processed the $100 checks for
them in Mid May. Thank you again for having participated in the
first phase survey.
We are now offering the second phase Gambling loss survey! This study is being conducted to investigate emotional responses to gambling loss, the attempts to deal with emotions, and subsequent psychological well-being. You are eligible for this survey if you have lost a far greater amount of money than you planned to and felt badly on a single (casino or on-line) gambling occasion or a day trip to a casino during the last 4 weeks.
If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be
asked to recall one of your recent significant
gambling loss experiences, and to fill out survey items related
to that recalled experience. The online survey will take
approximately 20 minutes.
