Our News Service team is charged with getting the word out about the people, discoveries, happenings and achievements that make the University of Guelph a great place to learn and work.
We write and pitch news releases and stories to the media, including everything from the latest U of G research findings to faculty, staff and student honours and initiatives to major University announcements.
U of G community members: If you think your research findings, accomplishments or events are of interest to the general public, please contact us via email.
The University of Guelph’s experts guide lists hundreds of U of G faculty, researchers and staff who are willing to speak to the media about current issue and events. Search the guide by subject matter, by keyword or by the name of the person you wish to contact.
The News Service has a SeeSuite studio in the University Centre. This HD video network allows for live and taped interviews with U of G sources and news broadcasting agencies.
The University of Guelph has a broadcast quality ISDN line and Zephyr audio mixer that enables our experts to do live or pre-recorded high quality radio interviews. Located in Room 118 of Day Hall, regular hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday to Friday. Arrangements can be made for after-hours broadcasts.
