Grant for Undergraduate Experiential Learning (GUEL) (Learning Opportunities Trust)
These awards are available in varying amounts from $500-$4000 to individuals as well as groups.
This award is available to student(s) enrolled in a CSAHS course which has a curriculum-embedded experiential learning component with a minimum 70% cumulative average. For group projects the Primary Investigator (PI) or Group Lead must have a minimum 70% cumulative average. Preference given to:
a) For individuals: Students with a CSAHS Major, followed by Students enrolled in a CSAHS Course $500-$2500
b) For Groups: The PI has a CSAHS major enrolled in a CSAHS Course, followed by a PI who is enrolled in a CSAHS course $1000-$4000
Selection will be based on the letter of intent and CSAHS Grant application form, submitted by the students or group to the CSAHS Awards Committee. Letter should include: description of activities; relevant past experience; budget; anticipated learning outcomes. Additional application questions include: community partner involvement; has partner approved program; and has ethics approval been granted. Students must submit a copy of the application to the ADA with the course instructor's signature.
Deadline is March 15th for students registered in GEOG*4690, and November 3, 2017 @ 11:59 pm for F17 courses.
