Development and testing of new strategies to improve effectiveness of nutrition services for prevention and management of obesity and metabolic syndrome in primary care and other settings. There is increasing interest in my work as the prevalence of obesity continues to increase. We have recently achieved 19% reversion of metabolic syndrome with a one-year diet and exercise intervention in family doctors’ offices. We are also testing "nudge" strategies to increase vegetable and fruit consumption among young adults.
