William (Bill) O'Grady received his B.A. and M.A. in Sociology from Carleton University and his PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto. Using recidivism data from the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, he is working on a team project evaluating the John Howard Society of Toronto's Reintegration Centre located in Toronto. His most recent co-authored journal publications appear in Anthrozoos (2016), The Howard Journal of Crime and Justice (2016) and the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry (2017). In November 2016, (with Steve Gaetz, Sean Kidd and Kaitlin Schwan) he released the report Without a Home: The National Youth Homelessness Survey. In May 2017 he co-authored the report Homelessness and Hidden Homelessness in Rural and Northern Ontario prepared for the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. He is also working on the 4th edition of Crime in Canadian Context: debates and controversies published by Oxford University Press which will be released in 2018.
