About the CSD Exam Centre
The CSD Exam Centre has moved!
We are now located at the south end of the McLaughlin Library on the second floor.
The McLaughlin Library does not open until 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Therefore,
The CSD Exam Centre will not open until 11:00 am on Saturdays during midterm exams. All Saturday midterm exams written at the CSD Exam Centre must be scheduled after 11:30 a.m. Saturdays.
Hours of Operation
Regular office hours:
Mon-Fri 8:30 am- 4:30 pm.
Mon-Fri 8:30 am- 4:30 pm.
During Tests and Exams *:
Mon-Fri 8:30 - 9:00 pm
Mon-Fri 8:30 - 9:00 pm
* After hours exam times are subject to the Library's service hours.
Saturday Tests and Exams
Sat midterms: 11:30 am - 9:00 pm
Sat finals: 8:30 - 9:00 pm
Sat finals: 8:30 - 9:00 pm
Evening Tests and Exams
The CSD Exam Centre closes at 9:00 pm. Therefore, if you have an evening exam you may be asked to start earlier than the scheduled class time in order to finish your exam in time for closing.
Exam Centre Facilities
The Exam Centre has 12 private and 3 small group rooms available for tests and exams.
Our computers have no internet access and as such are considered word processors. A number of computers are equipped with adaptive technology such as Zoomtext, Jaws, Kurzweil 3000, Kurzweil 1000 and Dragon Naturally Speaking. Scribes, readers are arranged as needed for individual student needs.
Washrooms are located near the Exam Centre. A waiting area includes wardrobes where students can leave coats and belongings. The CSD Exam Centre is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.
Alternate Exam Locations
Due to space limitations, it may be necessary for you to write at a different location other than the Exam Centre. In this case, you will be notified by e-mail. You are responsible for providing your correct e-mail address to the CSD and for reading your e-mail on a regular basis.
Invigilation and Security
The CSD Exam Centre follows the Undergraduate Degree Regulations and Procedures for Examinations as outlined in the Undergraduate Calendar. As such students writing tests or exams at the CSD must be aware of their responsibilities for writing at the CSD Exam Centre as outlined on this site.
For security reasons, we perform random paper checks during the exam. We may place a supervisor in any exam room.
