Graduate Programs

The Department of Economics offers programs of study leading to the degrees of MA in Economics, PhD in Economics and PhD in Economics - International Development Studies.

Our students have access to a collection of discussion papers, journals and government publications, as well as a local area computer network. The Department employs a full-time computer coordinator who supports faculty and graduate students in their software and hardware needs. The MacKinnon Building contains a computer lab exclusively for use by graduate students.

The Department has a full program of weekly seminars by visiting speakers. In addition there are internal lunchtime (brownbag) workshops in which faculty and graduate students present results of their research work. Our faculty are world-renowned and active researchers.

Graduates in Economics have gone on to careers in areas such as:
