Neuroscience Day
U of G hosts Neuroscience Day, a celebration of neuroscience research across colleges and disciplines. The keynote speaker is Prof. Bruce S. McEwen, head of the Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology at Rockefeller University, who will discuss “Sex, Stress and the Brain: From Serendipity to Clinical Relevance” at 2:30 p.m. McEwen has led the way toward understanding the interactions among hormones, the brain and behaviour.
There will also be oral presentations by graduate students and post-doctoral researchers as well as a poster session. Involved departments include psychology, biomedical sciences, clinical studies, human health and nutritional sciences, animal and poultry science, molecular and cellular biology and integrative biology.
The event is free and open to everyone.
