Position Description: |
A search has begun, internal to the university, for a new Chair of the Department of Chemistry. The initial appointment will be for no less than three years and no more than five years to begin July 1, 2012. The Department of Chemistry includes 20 faculty members who are active in physical, theoretical, analytical, organic and inorganic chemistry. Graduate studies are carried out through the (GWC)2 partnership with the University of Waterloo, one of the largest, best recognized chemistry graduate programs in Canada. Undergraduate offerings cover a full range of programs, many with both regular and co-op streams. The Department is home to the Electrochemical Technology Center and groups of researchers focusing on aspects of biological chemistry, catalysis and the design, synthesis and analysis of functional molecules and materials.
