The Dean will seek out opportunities to further engage with other academic institutions, businesses, industry associations, government agencies and community partners, fostering a synergistic relationship between the College, its students and its stakeholders. The Dean will encourage and support the development of the College’s research, teaching and academic programs, while promoting excellence, teamwork and student centered learning and success.

As the ideal candidate, you hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and your academic accomplishment is consistent with appointment to the rank of Professor. You have demonstrated both excellence in research and success in teaching and have academic administrative leadership experience, ideally in a unionized context. A Professional Engineering designation would be considered an asset. You are a strategic and forward thinker conversant in the evolution of research, teaching and learning within the field of engineering and physical science, and are able to lead with vision in a rapidly changing environment. You bring experience in program development, strategic planning, fundraising and in developing partnerships within and outside your institution. You have exceptional relationship building and communication skills, value diversity of ideas and backgrounds, are collegial and collaborative in your dealings with others and are interested in mentoring and enabling the scholarship and research of your colleagues.
