Position Description:

The Department of Business at the University of Guelph is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in Business - Accounting/Finance at the Assistant Professor level at the University of Guelph-Humber campus. The position will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities within the Business department will be exclusively at the University of Guelph-Humber. The distribution of effort for this position is expected to be: 80% teaching, 10% scholarship, 10% service. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate expertise and ability to teach a variety of Business courses in accounting and finance. The successful candidate will sit on University of Guelph-Humber committees, participate in program initiatives, support students with extra-curricular activities, and maintain a modest research program in their area of competence.

Applicants should hold a completed Ph.D. in Accounting or Finance or related field. In addition, applicants should have a record of excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly and professional activities relevant to Accounting and Finance or related field and demonstrated ability to work in a collegial academic environment. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a professional Accounting or Finance designation (i.e, CPA, CFA) and who have experience working with diverse student populations, experience in mentoring of students as well as a record of participation in extracurricular activities that further the development of a vibrant academic community.
