Position Description:

The School of Engineering (SOE), within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS), invites applications for three, one-year contractually limited appointments (from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019), at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will each teach 5 courses and contribute to service within the School of Engineering. Most of the teaching will be at the undergraduate level, but may include a graduate course.

Qualifications for the positions include a PhD in engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (or another Province or Territory in Canada) is an asset. The ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.

The current teaching needs, which are subject to change, are identified in the following table. Applicants should identify 6 or 7 of the listed courses that they are qualified to teach, considering that no more than 3 would be assigned to an instructor in a single term.

The School of Engineering offers undergraduate programs in: Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Water Resources Engineering.
