The McLaughlin Library at the University of Guelph invites applications for a continuing appointment-track position at the Assistant or Associate Librarian level.

Position Description:
Working collaboratively in a team-based environment and reporting to the Head, R&S, the Research & Scholarship Librarian supports, enables, and contributes to the research process on campus through the development of library services and the provision of expertise in research impact, scholarly publishing, and the research ecosystem. The R&S team is addressing the systematic issues in scholarly communication. In doing so, we are challenging legacy processes in the exploration of new services, approaches, and initiatives. The successful candidate embraces creativity and taking risks in the exploration of new ideas.
In this position, the Research & Scholarship Librarian will provide advanced support to researchers to support their scholarly publishing, data, and digital scholarship needs. This will include both appointment-based consultations and classroom instruction. The incumbent will also promote and support Open Access, specializing in research funder policies.

The position will be filled at the Assistant or Associate Librarian level. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and a comprehensive benefits package will be provided.
