Masterclass on the Conduct and Use of Patient-Oriented Research
Congratulations to Jennifer Green, recent AHN graduate!
This November, Jennifer Green, a recent graduate from the Applied Human Nutrition Masters of Science program, will attend a masterclass on patient oriented research in Toronto (https://www.mcmasterhealthforum.org/citizens/masterclass-patient-oriented-research). This three day course is supported by the Ontario Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) SUPPORT Unit (OSSU) with funding from the Government of Ontario and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The goals of the course include developing competencies to conduct patient oriented research, becoming familiar with related training and resources, and identifying ways to conduct and support patient oriented research within existing organizations. The skills gained in this course will help inform Jennifer’s work with the KidFit Health and Wellness Clinic at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga.
The masterclass is designed to prepare future champions for the conduct and use of patient-oriented research in Ontario’s health system and future mentors to others becoming involved in the conduct and use of patient-oriented research.
