Autoclaves

The initial installation inspection has to be done by the TSSA and covers a wide range of safety and installation guidelines for that particular unit. A TSSA registration certificate will then be issued and a copy sent to be posted in the room where the unit is located.

Only once all installation matters are complete and the unit has been registered with the local jurisdiction (TSSA) can the insurer issue pressure vessel operating certificates.

If you are unsure of the status of the TSSA inspection and registration contact the contractor who installed or delivered the unit. If the unit has been inspected and registered please follow up with TSSA to see what mailing address and contact name they have for this location.

If the units have a registration certificate, please contact the Insurance Office so that immediate arrangements can be made for the insurer to complete the required inspections and issuance of pressure vessel operation certificates.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a short summary of the Boiler & Machinery insurance program.  It does not include all of the conditions and exclusions that apply on this policy.  If you have any questions about the insurance, please contact Insurance Office at: sasha@uoguelph.ca
