Jan.11/12-BPS Procurement Directive Training
Starting from April 1, 2011, the University of Guelph is required to be fully compliant with the BPS Procurement Directive. In order to help you understand this Directive and its requirements, Purchasing Services is providing face to face training sessions to all faculty and staff who are involved in procurement activities.
This training is to answer below questions:- What are the requirements of the BPS Procurement Directive?
- What are the major changes in our procurement practices and procedures?
- What impact do these changes have on our procurement in the University of Guelph?
- Staff and faculty involved in procurement activities such as planning, requisitioning, budget approval, supplier commitment and payment;
- Staff and faculty involved in RFQ, RFP or RFT process;
- Supervisors of staff and faculty mentioned above.

- February 2nd, 1-3pm, UC:L0, Room 004, across PCH
- February 7th, 9:30-11:30am, UC:L0, Room 004, across PCH
To register, email purchase@uoguelph.ca before January 20 with email subject as “BPS Directive Training Registration”. Provide your name, department/division, phone extension and the date of session you select in your email.
If you would like to attend the training but are not available for any of the above sessions, please let us know as well. Additional sessions might be available upon request and feedback.
