Aron is a plant population geneticist with a particular interest in forest tree species. He has broad experience in the application of molecular techniques for genetic analysis of plants. He is currently involved in a project determining the impact of blister rust on genetic diversity in limber pine. As part of the Barcode of Life initiative, he will curate the genomic collection at the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario and is focussed on the development of DNA based identification systems for various plant groups.
