Global Environmental Change Group
We are an applied research group based in the Department of Geography at the University of Guelph. The focus of our research is climate change vulnerability, adaptation and capacity building. Our research also addresses international development, risk management, resilience, governance, and livelihood enhancement.
Through engagement of communities and stakeholders, our research outcomes are incorporated into development projects, resource management, and economic policies. Our core team collaborates with researchers and practitioners from universities, governments, and non-governmental agencies in Canada and internationally. We work across Canada, the Arctic, Chile, Bangladesh, Africa, and the South Pacific, and we are key members of several international consortia.
