There are four primary objectives for this study. The first objective discusses the factors identified as being suitable for this study, and the second objective demonstrates how these factors were considered within the GIS in order to develop a Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) and Least-Cost Pathway (LCP). The third objective demonstrates how the MCE and LCP model was applied to Adirondack Park to develop our best path for corridor establishment. Finally, the fourth objective evaluates the strengths and limitations of the model.
Objective 1:Identify the factors suitable for establishing an ecological corridor.
Objective 2:Develop a Multi-Criteria Evaluation model and Least Cost Pathway using the identified factors in objective 1
Objective 3: Apply the Least-Cost Pathway to determine the best single path for the ecological corridor
Objective 4:Evaluate the strengths and limitations of the Multi-Criteria Evaluation and Least-Cost Pathway in siting the corridor
