Iceberg

Large piece of glacier ice that floats in the water, and has broken off from a much larger continental glacier. Due to density differences between water and ice, about 90% of the iceberg is actually submerged under the surface of the water, meaning that the part that can be seen is very small in comparison to the actual size of the iceberg. The photograph shows an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland.
