Summer 2012: Start your day off with positive energy, this issue’s feature activity is: YOGA

In this issue:

  • Fitness NewsletterOriginating over 5,000 years ago in Ancient India, yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that is associated with meditative rituals in Hinduism and Buddhism. However, improving health and well-being is an added benefit! Most yoga poses (called “asanas”) are accompanied by different breathing techniques and often include a meditative component as well. Certain sets of poses are designed purely for relaxation while others focus on moving the body in different ways to improve physical and mental health.
