The 2005/2006 Women's Campus Safety Initiatives Committee was comprised
of representatives from:

The Committee has provided funding to the following organizations for the initiatives described below:
Aboriginal Resource Centre
- Aboriginal Sisters in Spirit: a project to increase awareness of violence against women in Aboriginal communities
Campus Community Police
- cycling safety for women on campus
Centre for Couple and Family Therapy
- safety improvements to the Centre
Fire Prevention Services
- purchase of products to enhance the RAD programme on campus
Kemptville College
- barn fire safety and prevention course
- self defense course for women
- improvements in outdoor lighting in front of student residences
Mountain Hall Council
- white ribbon campaign to increase awareness of violence against women
Physical Resources Department
- replacement and enhancement of lighting on Alumni Walk
Student Life and Counselling Services
- support groups and a symposium for women of colour
Student Housing
- production of VDay 2006: The Vagina Monologues
Women's Resource Centre
- a women of colour support group
- workshops on sexual and menstrual health and safety
- resources on safety and self defense for marginalized women
