About the University
Established in 1964, U of G consists of seven colleges whose undergraduate and graduate programs span the natural and physical sciences, social sciences and humanities:
College of Arts
College of Biological Science
College of Management and Economics
College of Physical and Engineering Science
College of Social and Applied Human Sciences
Ontario Agricultural College
Ontario Veterinary College
The main campus spans 1,017 acres (412 hectares), including a 408‑acre (165‑hectare) arboretum and a 30‑acre (12‑hectare) research park
Beginning in Fall 2002, the University of Guelph-Humber admitted students to its programs. The University of Guelph-Humber builds on the combined strengths and traditions of the University of Guelph and Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning'- two of Ontario’s leading educational institutions. Students receive an honours university degree and an applied college diploma in just four years.
The University of Guelph includes 3 regional campuses at Alfred, Kemptville and Ridgetown. In addition to diploma, certificate and continuing education programs, the regional campuses offer a degree program in bio-resource management. Students enrolled in this program spend the first two years of their four-year program at one of the regional campuses, then complete their studies at the main campus in Guelph.
