Graduate Student Symposium

The College of Biological Sciences held its fifth annual Graduate Student Symposium on April 30, 2009.

This one-day event brought together all CBS graduate students, faculty and research staff from across the college where grad students presented both oral and poster presentations.

The event featured a talk on “The Science of Aging” by visiting guest speaker, Dr. S. Jay Olshansky which was an overwhelming success.

Dr. S. Jay Olskansky is a Professor at the University of Illinois' School of Public Health. His research focuses on human longevity and he is the author of "The Quest for Immortality". For more information on Dr. Olshansky and his research see:
