  • Sept 15 - Prof. Nina Jones receives prestigious honour of being elected to the College of Scholars! Created by the Royal Society of Canada in 2014, the College recognizes academics who have made exceptional achievements within 15 years of completing their doctoral degrees. Congratulations Nina!
  • Aug 30 - Prof. Cezar Khursigara and his researech team use electron, confocal and fluorescent microscopy to study how biofilms boost antibiotic resistance in people with cystic fibrosis.

  • Nov 27 MCB supports Adopt-A-Family Program for 12th year. Over $1600 raised for our family of nine. Thanks to the 2015 Holiday Committee and all who donated towards this effort!

  • Nov 12 MCB Raffle raises $886 - just enough to squeak over the $20,000 target set for MCB's United Way. Thanks to everyone who participated and donated in any way!
  • Nov 3 - Harry Potter event attracts aspiring scientists. Kudos to the Let's Talk Science coordinators/grad students, Brandon Wyse, Alex Swirski and Tara Harvey for organizing this magical event!
  • Oct 30Pumpkin Carving Contest: 1st prize - Uniacke Lab, 2nd prize - Khursigara Lab and 3rd prize - Dawson Lab.   Hosted by the MCB Grad Student Council, along with bake sale, pizza lunch and chili lunch to raise money for the Adopt-A-Family! Yeah!
