– Chaetoplagia atripennis Coquillett, 1895d: 98. Type data: lectotype male (USNM), by fixation of Townsend, 1939a: 321 (mention of "Ht female" from District of Columbia is regarded as a lectotype fixation; single specimen from District of Columbia is male, not female as cited). Type locality: USA, District of Columbia.
