MYXEXORISTOPS Townsend, 1911b: 170. Type species: Myxexorista pexops Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891 (= Phryxe blondeli Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830), by monotypy [Palearctic].

– Exorista fronto Coquillett, 1897: 96. Type data: holotype male (USNM). Type locality: USA, New Hampshire, Mount Washington.
